It is our vision to support the most vulnerable women in San Francisco by providing the housing, support, and resources necessary for women to attain financial and emotional stability.
As a non-profit Corporation, The Mary Elizabeth Inn is dedicated to empowering low income women by providing:
- affordable housing with comprehensive services
- an opportunity to receive the support needed to achieve stability and independence
Women served at the Mary Elizabeth Inn include those who are homeless, have a history of substance abuse, have physical and mental disabilities, and victims of domestic violence.
Safety, stability and personal empowerment are our primary values. Women from all walks of life and with a diversity of beleifs, ethnicities, languages and sexual orientations are welcome.
The Inn uses the harm reduction approach while offering residents an expanded pool of options and support in order to help them to develop practical coping strategies. In turn The Mary Elizabeth Inn is able to provide programs and resources to help residents to fully develop their life management skills. |
